WAYS TO SERVE AND BE SERVED!

 

We want you to feel connected at New Beginning!  That happens as you get to know the  people and the staff at the church but, beyond that, it happens as you find your place to serve the Lord and make a difference in the lives of others.  We have many ministries in the church that exist to serve those who attend our church, but they also provide ways in which you can be a part of serving others.  Please contact the pastor or one of our other members if you would like additional information about any of these ministries.  

 

Welcome Team – Greeting people as they arrive at church and helping as an usher to find seats and accommodate the needs of our guests.

 

Worship Team (including sound board, video, technical operators) – if you’re a gifted musician or vocalist and love the Lord, you can contact our music director to begin the process of helping in our Sunday Worship Services.

 

Children’s Ministries – Helping in various ways with Children’s Church on Sunday morning as a teacher, or assisting our teachers in their classes.  Assisting in Treasure Island on Sunday evenings Sep-Mar.  You could also help with special events held throughout the year.   

 

Youth Ministries – Assisting leaders in reaching out to our young people attending Middle and High School as they make life changing decisions in this key time of their lives.

 

College Ministry - Small groups to encourage those attending college.  

 

Women's Ministry - Assisting in many ways throughout the year with programs such as meal delivery, calls and visits to sick, nursing home visits and children's programs and outreach. 

 

Mens Ministry – Helping to organize ministries and events that facilitate the spiritual growth and relationships of the men at our church.

 

Prayer Ministry – Committing to pray for the special needs that arise in our church.   Volunteering to answer the phone in response to the TV ministry to pray and talk with individuals.  

 

VADaily Bread - Assisting with food pick-up and distribution to individuals who have placed online orders and requested New Beginning as their pick-up location.  Occurs once monthly.

 

Nursing Home - Ministering to the people of Johnson's Nursing Home in Amherst on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month (9:30 - 11:30am).
